I can't help you since this'll be my first time getting summer OSAP too, but I can tell you the Registrar isn't as strict with payments as you may think. I actually think I've submitted all three of my payments (fall/winter first year, spring first year, fall/winter this year) close a week late and and I haven't been dinged with the late payment fee once.
That being said, I don't recommend being a month late or anything, but if the OSAP release date is the 3rd and payment due date is the 1st, I wouldn't worry too much. They'll understand if it's made known you're getting summer OSAP and I'm not even sure the Registrar's office is open on a Saturday anyway.
I guess this only applies if OSAP is covering the full cost of your tuition though.

This is new to me.
The payment agreement said I didn't owe any money so I thought I didn't even have to write a cheque this term.
I guess I'll wait for more responses but I probably won't end up writing one anyway.
