Summer OSAP freak out
Hey guys,

Ugh. I think I might have landed myself into a problem.

I registered for 4 courses for the Spring/Summer, and applied for OSAP. Got the estimate, did my payment agreement. Then I dropped the two Spring courses and stayed in the Summer ones. So I got OSAP to recalculate my funding, did my payment agreement. My fees drop from 2100 down to 1100.

I go to check my payment agreement today before OSAP pick-up tomorrow, and see that the freaking PA change didn't go through. My "current student record" says I owe the school 1100. But the "Last Confirmed PA" says 2100.

Does this mean what I think it does? That the school is still going to remit 2100 from my OSAP tomorrow, even though I only owe them 1100? And does this mean I have to cancel my application and re-do it? Or does anyone here know if I can just go to the Registrar and get them to fix my payment agreement?

Sorry guys, thanks so much. :/

Did you just drop yourself below 60% course load? If you did, well, no more OSAP and you owe the school $1100; OSAP owes you nil.

You HAVE to maintain a 60% load to get ANY OSAP funding, which means unless you are in Engineering or some other degree with random loads, four courses.

It's 60% course load PER term. Spring is one term, Summer is another. 2 courses equals a full course load per Spring or Summer term. I dropped one term, so lost the OSAP for that term. I maintained a full course load for Summer, so I still have OSAP for that term.

Your payment agreement says 2100, but what does your Account Statement say?

You'd better just go and talk to someone in GH, if they find out they over-awarded you, you'll be penalized in September for that amount.
