You can get OSAP for the summer but you have to take a full course load, which means at least 6 units each semester (May-June= Sem 1 and July-August=Sem 2)

And no, it doesn't say on SOLAR when you can start applying but its usually in the beginning of March. Keep checking.

OKAY let me clear things out a bit here...

there are two terms in the summer at mac. one from may - june and the other is july - august

Now,,, You are eligible to apply for OSAP if you are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person and are planning to enroll in an approved undergraduate, graduate or MBA program in at least 60% of a full course load (per term) at McMaster.

The maximum amount of courses that one can take per semester is 3. So even if you take 2 courses in a semester you are still good in terms of eligibility for the OSAP because you would be taking 66.67% (
2/3 = 66.67%) of the full course load.

As far as dates for applying for the summer courses is concerned ,,,I was at the academic councillor`s office a few days back and she told me that the dates for applying for the summer courses run till early may ... but i would recommend checking up with the science office again or else keep checking MUGSI in specific SOLAR...

Hope This HELPS...
