1. I am doing badly in MAth 1ZC3 (Engineering Math), what if my final mark for this course is Fail, can I still take it in summer? I mean Summer registration is open now, but I don't know if I will fail the course and in the calender says last date to register is May 4 I think. Can I register for summer school after I know my final mark? I think I answered my question but I just want to confirm it.
2. Let's say I am taking Physics 1D03 (Engineering Physics) in summer, does the GPA for that course count towards my overall GPA for 2nd year admissions or is it just pass/fail? or it's only electives you take in summer count towards overall GPA.
3. Can I take OSAP in summer?
4. Is it possible to live on campus for summer?
Thanks

1. You can register for math 1zc3 now and if your final grade is a pass in this course you can simply drop it.
Note: I was doing bad in that course last year, but I was surprised by the exam...it wasn't bad at all, it was easier than the midterms, and if I remember correctly, the exam was worth higher than what it really was for people who did good in it...so basically people had a good chance of passing the course if they did good in the exam. Also, make sure you study/review everything and not just focus on determinants and matrices, because the exam covered everything equally. Although, I felt that it focused a bit more on the materials from the textbook.
2. You can't use your summer school marks to boost your gpa so you can get into a high cut-off program. Unfortunately, that's how it works here at mac.
All you need is a 1 in this course when you take it in the summer, but don't just aim for a 1, aim higher.
3. Yes you can take OSAP in the summer provided you have a full course load, which I think is 2 courses per term.
4. I don't know, I never lived on campus.
