Summerschool/second year
Hi, I'm a first year student in Social Science. I was just wondering that if you do not have the cut off for next year's majors (6 in the course you want to major in and 3.5 overall) what happens? I'm doing summer school to make up for 2 courses I failed in (taking 2 first year courses) and was wondering how these marks affect your first year application marks, is it possible that these numbers will help boost your first year GPA and if you decide to major in one of the summer school courses (by getting a 6 or over) can you still do that?
And I was also wondering that theoretically if I don't get the 3.5 average, do I get put on academic probation, and will my summer school marks hopefully bring my average back up to 3.5 so I can qualify for my major? Thank you for any replies I really appreciate it!
Cheers,
