Has anyone logged into their payment agreement one day to realize they're suddenly receiving a scholarship they have no idea about? My parents laughed at me for panicking at this, panicking at getting my schooling payed off for me.

But... what the hell? The only thing under "McMaster Scholarships" I can account for is my entrance scholarship. Beyond that, how is it possible that they would do this for me without even sending me a notification saying I got such-and-such scholarship? I feel its a glitch. So I emailed the registrar's office. Right or wrong thing to do? Feedback? S'il vous plait?

I don't have experience with this. I'm pretty sure I'd be dancing right now if I were you.

I doubt it's a glitch though. I don't think the school would allow something money related like that happen.

Do you have OSAP? Apparently osap gives out scholarships as well. I've never applied to OSAP so I don't know. Perhaps it's the queen elizabeth scholarship they were talking about in the other thread?

I do have OSAP and I did check the QE scholarship, but shouldn't I have been notified if I got it?

I went into OSAP today to see if it says it anywhere and it doesn't.

That's very honest, but I wouldn't worry about it. The chance that they made a mistake is slim to none. I never knew you could get scholarships on OSAP before. Instead I get $1500 Dr. Harry Lymann Hooker scholarships each year for my average. Not as good as the OSAP ones though!

I guess I should be happy. 5500 I won't have to pay for plus osap is covering the rest. Soo... I guess I won't be paying anything? :S

no need to panic, it actually is the QEII Aiming for the Top Scholarship! i checked my OSAP status on their website and it doesn't indicate that i've received it yet, but if you check MUGSI under Scholarships and Awards or something like that, it'll say you've received x amount. aand don't worry, you're not the only one who freaked out when they first saw their new scholarship value

Actually, this happened to me this year. I was trying to get my courses on MUGSI, and of course SOLAR was locked out, so I was playing around and happened to stumble onto my account statement where it said I had money for next year.

I looked into it, and I have NO IDEA about it, but apparantlyI had received a bursary for my grades. I didnt let myself get excited because I figured if I had won it, then they would have sent me SOMETHING, but 3 months later, its still there so its safe to say I actually got it and it wasnt a glitch.

I pretty much freaked when I realized it was still there So I went and bought a new laptop So glad I did
