Take a fourth year course from a different faculty in Life Science
I am interested in taking a fourth year theater & film (Cinema & Society) course that requires registration in theater & film. However, I am in life science (first year), is there any chance I can take that?

You can try to get special permission, but it's very unlikely. For one, you probably won't have the pre-requisite knowledge needed for the course, and for another, they likely have a limited class size. If they just let anybody take it who wanted to, there's no reason to have the restriction in the first place.

Great Point! Seems like I was looking for encouragement; a comment to reinforce the illusion that I'd do well in a fourth year course (in second year) on the basis that I'd left a good impression on the Professor. Back to reality, eh?

Thanks for the wake up call.
