When To Take Math 1LT3?
Hey guys!

So as of right now I plan on heading into a pharmacy program which requires me to have 2 semesters of calculus. I'm currently in heading into second year Life Sci, specializing in ChemBio, and my issue is that I only covered 1LS3 in my first year. I need to take 1LT3, but I have no room for it in my current schedule. I only have one elective space and right now it's occupied by Stats 2B03 (which I also need to take) and even if I drop that course and add in 1LT3 I'd end up having a conflict with one of my orgo courses.

Should I try to get permission to take 1LT3 this school year? Would it be weird for me to take 1LT3 during the summer after second year since it's a first year course and I'll be heading into third? Not exactly sure how to approach this situation...

I took stats 2B03 in the summer, and there were a lot of people in second year-going into third, and even some third year-going into fourth. Not weird at all, just do what you can to get those pre-reqs!

Stats 2B03 is a bit different since (according to the science academic advisors) people are expected tot take it in 3rd year for most programs, and it is only a 2nd year course due to the difficulty level. So tons of people from 3rd and 4th year will take it because that's when it's expected for them.

As for 1LT3, or any other course for that matter, just take it whenever it fits your schedule and don't worry about whether or not it's "weird", because nobody really cares. Besides, it's not like you'll be sitting in lecture wearing a giant sign saying that you're in 3rd year
