Taking a course outside your program.
Hello all.

My dilemma is that I wish to take 2 courses outside my program. I'm currently in 3rd Year Honours History, entering my 4th year in September, and I was wondering if I could take 2 Commerce courses, specifically Organizational Behaviour (2BA3) and Human Resources (2BC3).

I read the course descriptions of both, and the prerequisites were as follows:
"Registration in any Commerce, Engineering and Management, Honours Business Informatics, Labour Studies or four or five-level non-Commerce program"

Since I'm entering Level 4 in September, and I'm entering a Level 4, non-Commerce program, would that I mean I'm good to go?

Thanks =P

I would assume that you're good to go since it says that they require registration of a four or five-level non-Commerce program. As long as you continue into fourth year in Honours History, you're fine.

You can always talk this over with an academic advisor, though. Go see Jennifer Richardson in the Humanities Academic Advising Office.

Good luck.

Those are open courses, so you can take them. They fill up fast though because they're open.
