From now on I will only go to Gino's if I am ordering a fresh made pizza. I actually really like their fresh made pizzas, it was just a bad experience with the walk-in special that turned me away.

The one and only time I went to Ginos, there was this brown guy who appeared to be in his early thirties. He looked like he could kill anyone walking into there. He had on a black top and business pants.

I hope that guy is not there anymore, for both his sake and ours

It all depends on when you go.

If you go when they are busy, they are making walk in specials like crazy(so they are fresh). The best is around 11-12 on drinking nights because people order pizzas then cancel them, so they will offer you the canceled pizza as a walk in special. If I ever go to Gino's I always try to aim for those times. Last time I got a pizza with more meat on it than pizza because someone canceled a ridiculous pile of meat.

Also, if they still have it out, try throwing their BBQ sauce on your pizza, or the hot sauce. Tastes surpisingly good.

Oh yeah and a new Pizza place is opening up where Little Caesar's was. w00t

Nothing beats the pizza from an independent.

Like the stuff from Mossimo's (in my hometown): http://www.mossimospizza.com /

You know, I've always had a good image of Ginos... when I used to be in a bowling league as a kid, we would always go afterwards for lunch... they had the MOST amazing slices, it's my favorite pizza.

That was in Oshawa though.

The one on Main is dirty.
and the only time I had slices from there was when we were walking home at like 1 or 2.... I was too drunk. I thought it tasted decent.

Actually, I might have been more impressed by the price than anything.

Gino's Pizza is terrible compared to other pizza joints. But when you are drunk or high, you can beat a medium for $6.

I remember waiting for an order, and noticing that on the pre-stretched dough waiting on the ranks; there were black dots. Under careful inspection, I determined that they were small flies. Yuck!

It sucks that the Little Ceaser's near Westdale closed, they had amazing pizza for $5 for a medium. A new place called "Anytime Pizza" is opening soon in that location.

Well, we aren't all as rich as you Lawleypop! (Despite having seen posts claiming that you only eat Frosted Flakes... which I now know to be a fabrication based on this post...)

Or, is this post the fabrication? Or does reality lie somewhere between? My world is upside down!

I/my family was loaded at one point in my life. o_o

That's what I meant about the pricing. It was 2 bucks for 3 slices when I went at 1-2am. Which is just a little more than what I probably average per day.

2 bucks for three slices!? That's amazing!

I was just referring to the whole Pizza Hut situation... that place is expensive!

Eh, figured he was the owner as he was older.

I guess I met him when he was having the worst day of his life

Gino's is okaaaay, I've never had a problem with them, but it's not really good pizza or anything.
