I have a friend give me the textbooks for BIOLOGY 2D03, 2F03, and LIFE SCI 2D03. But these used books are from a couple of years ago (he's already graduated) and have different authors and are not canadian texts. I have:
ECOLOGY concepts and application: ISBN 9780072951714 third edition MOLLES
Introduction to BOTANY: ISBN 2900805344164 NABORS
Principles of ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR: ISBN 2900393976594 DUGATKIN

I don't know if I should just use these books for my classes or should I buy the new/used books. Will the info be really different?

You need to ask your professor if you can use those books. Sometimes it won't make a differenc, sometimes it will. Just make sure you ask your professor and not other students!

Yo LIZ, what if we use a book that is one edition old. For example for linguistics, a 7th edition is out. Is it ok to use the 6th edition or again we have to ask proffs?

Wait till the first class just to be sure and ask the prof yourself if he/she doesn't mention it!
