thesis question
hey, since thesis = 3 courses, i was just wondering is it better to have 4 courses first term/3 courses 2nd term or the other way around..

someone told me already but i totally can't remember

hey i was also wondering this, im going to be going into bio w/ physio next year and would also like to know how exactly thesis works? right now im a bit confused because is it done over a 2 term period or 3 term period seeing as how its 9 credits? and whats the whole process, if someone could exlain this it would be a great help in terms of knowing what im getting myself into

I would assume it's better to have a lighter course load in second semester since that's when you'll be defending/presenting your thesis. Depending on what your prof does, the first step may just be research and thinking of experiments to do. You should already know what you thesis is, so you should know if you are just doing research in the beginning or jumping right in.

It's best to frontload (i.e. 4 courses first semester, 3 courses second semester) with a thesis because the majority of the work of the thesis usually ends up happening in the second term and you'll be doing the actual thesis paper in the second semester.

It's a full year course that counts 9 credits, so you only have to take 7 courses other than the thesis. Whether you do 4 courses in first semester and 3 courses in second semester or vice-versa is up to the individual student.
