thtr 1t03 + random summer school q;s
k so i have a couple random academic/1st year questions:

1) does the biology program require a full course load over the year, as such lets say i take 2 courses over summer school, then do i have the option of only taking 8 over the year (so 4 on each term) or do i have to take the full course load of 10 courses?

2) i was talking to a friend and tried looking online for this info but could not find it...but basically i know that most med schools dont look at/count summer courses, only mac does apparently. so lets say i take orgo during the summer then does that mean that med schools other than mac, wont look at orgo or will they simply look for pass/fail and not count that into gpa

3) also i plan on taking bio 2b03 + one other course during first summer term. the 2 courses im deciding b/w are thtr 1t03 taught by COCKETT, P, or hlth age 1aa3 taught by ANDREWS, G, has anyone taking these b4 ( in the summer or over the year), are they hard/easy, and how is the course load. also how are these profs??

thanks\

1T03 is really easy, we had a 350 word essay, 4-5 page essay, 15 mintute group presentation (about 3 minutes each), a really short multiple choice midterm and a 2 hour exam. The course is interesting as well IMO I recommend it. Cockett is a great prof too

1t03 is very interesting and pretty easy, you really analyze plays/films though so dont think its just watching movies and stuff ! julianface said it pretty well for workload. cockett is a really good prof though!
health age 1aa3 is okay, im taking it now with dr penner, and we had 4 tests (no exam), 2 questions every week in tutorial and 2 assignments (3 pages each on a topic/movie we discussed/watched in class). the workload is realllllly light it barely took any time to do the qs/assignments, but i'm finding it to be somewhat dry, maybe i'm just not as interested in health. we've focused on the healthcare system/history of the healthcare system, and how people in other cultures perceive health
i guess it depends what your interested in. if you really like theatre/film type classes then take that, its a really good class. but if youre interested in health and the healthcare system, 1aa3 could possibly be beneficial for you
hope that helps !

I can answer the first question. There's no requirement stating that you need to take a full course-load. You do need 24-units to be considered a full-time student so as long as you have those 8 courses and you graduate with all the required courses and 120 units, you're good

took both courses last term and thtr & flm 1t03 is by far the easiest of the two. i dont think you'll have to do the presentation cause there is no tutorial for this course in the summer.
