1T03 with last year's prof, Peter Cockett, was AWESOME. I don't know the prof this year but I have seen the assignment outlines, and it definitely looks harder. Also, if you're afraid of group assignments, don't take this class. It all worked out for me, but you need to do a group presentation and review worh a large part of your grade.

I loved 1A03. It's not super challenging. I think there's one 500 word essay and one 1000 word essay, and a 10% partner assignment. I don't know who's teaching it this year, though. The class will vary with the prof.

hey, i'm currently doing 1T03, it's a great course. The course work isn't that heavy, the assignments are really straight forward. The new professor is great, name is Dr. Cara Melo. I wouldn't say any course is a bird course, it depends on how well you understand the course context and enjoy the course.

I haven't taken English or linguistics but, this course is my mark booster and it's fairly easy. I believe this course will be one of your light courses. Good Luck.

Course Evalutions

Short Essay: 5%
Midterm: 10%
Group Presentation: 15%
Individual Essay: 20%
Participation: 15%
Final exam: 35%
