The Casio can solve second and possibly third order polynomials as well as do a number of matrix operations and statistics.

I think the ones used at the university are at least capable of solving second and third degree equations. It can also solve systems of equations... which I didn't learn until after my physics exam. That could have saved a lot of time checking :p

there are graphing calculator apps for iphones/ipod touches that are pretty cool if your doing homework or something, but yeah, only the specified casio is allowed on tests/exams
and yes they can do 2nd/3rd degree equations, not sure about other ones though.

REALLY? wow. I didn't know that. I think I've seen the matrix stuff... Never the polynomial solver.

It can also solve derivatives and integrals. It takes a long time and kinda sucks at it though :p

You also don't need the third option because when you are done your exam you can just leave. Unless you're a super genius and finish in less than 45 minutes.

Lol, most of my midterms were at night so I wouldn't have been able to see a thing. Plus, there are a lot better gaming consoles than the TI calculator XD. Blockdude was fun though, I remember beating the levels in highschool.
