Timetable changes only for students who...?
On my email I got telling me that SOLAR will re-open on the 10th for changes, it said that

"SOLAR will re-open on Wednesday, August 10th at 8:30am for students previously registered (and fees cleared by August 9th). "

The part about the fees is bothering me right now. Does this mean if you want to have the chance to make changes to your schedule, you must have already paid the fee (the payment agreement)? I'm worried now because I haven't paid yet and I really need to make changes because the schedule I was given was nothing as I had hoped.

Any ideas?

They mean the Payment Agreement by that statement.
As long as you've completed the Payment Agreement, you should be okay.
Any further changes for the Payment Agreement are to be done before Sept. 1st.
(The actual payment is due before the 1st of Sept. (if full payment) or otherwise as detailed on the payment agreement - if using flex plans)

Yeah, otherwise I think you cannot change anything in regards to your current timetable for the school year.

If it provides some reassurance, I called in to McMaster and they confirmed that it's only the Payment Agreement, not all of your fees, that need to be completed by that deadline.

SOLAR just opens later, I think on Friday, if you haven't confirmed your payment agreement on time.

Ah I see, but by then most of the cores/tuts/lab slots people want will be taken by people who go on tomorrow-Thursday.

More so the courses themselves, sections tend to rotate until the add/drop deadline.
