Timetable Conflict Problem
Term 1 Timetable

My LINGUIST 1A03 class and Bio lab are conflicting, but I was thinking of moving that Bio lab to a Wednesday 14:30 time slot (ie. any lab section from L09 to L16 would work). However, since the day SOLAR re-opened til today, I haven't been able to get into those lab sections - they're always full. Are the chances good that a spot will open up by early Sept? Because otherwise, my backup plan consists of dropping Linguistics to get rid of the conflict, and then take whatever course fits (ie. horrible plan)

And a little timetable critiquing wouldn't hurt either

I decided to keep 3 long days because I can have Fridays off that way, in addition, it allows me to have really short Tuesdays (I originally planned it out so that Tuesdays would be off as well, but then those 3 days were long, as well as intensive, so i decided against that)

Here's term 2

Thanks!

You can try emailing Lori Goff (the Instructional Assistant for Bio 1A03). Attach your schedule and explain the conflict, hopefully she can open up a section for you. Although, if there are Tuesday or Friday sections available, she'll probably just tell you to move it there. Tuesday wouldn't be that bad.

Edit: you do NOT want to have chem and bio labs back-to-back. It might work out that they're on alternate weeks, but I wouldn't bet on it. If you can't switch the bio lab, then switch the chem lab!

Contact a science academic adviser, explain your situation and ask if they can switch you to another section.

Your schedule looks good.

Back when I was in first year, some courses skipped 2 weeks when it came to the thanksgiving week while other courses only skipped that thanksgiving week. So I had my labs 2 on one week and 1 on the next week but it ended up 3 on one week and none on the other after thanksgiving.

Edit: Sorry, I have a horrible memory. I mean I had 3 labs in total. 2 each week since 1 was every week (physics). But after thanksgiving I had 3 labs one week and 1 lab the following week.
