timetable help
I'm going into Life Science next year and SOLAR opens up for me on Sunday. I was just wondering how exactly it works. Do I just pick my courses and it makes my timetable for me? Or do I actually make it myself? Also do I need to go on SOLAR at like 12:01 am to actually get a spot in the courses I want?

The earlier you get on SOLAR the better. For now, you chose the courses you want (provided they're not full yet), and it randomly assigns you to time slots for tutorials and labs. Then when it reopens later, you can go in and fight for the sections you want, in the most convenient times for you. Realistically though, SOLAR sucks, and you'll get next to nothing you want from it.

Trust me. You could try logging into mugsi 40 minutes before 12 and spam refresh at 11:59 and you'll still need to be ridiculously lucky to get in.

Also, the system makes a timetable for you. It reopens in August with a premade timetable and you can modified it (assuming you're lucky enough to get the classes you want)

Well that's a pretty shitty system. What if you need the courses and they're full?

Email the prof to see if they could open a spot or something.

And yeah, not everyone can get what they want.

Sadly demand is higher than what they can provide. I also wish I could get into all the courses I want :(

I guess we'll just have to go fight for those courses!
