Tips on writing essays and papers
I thought it would be cool if we had a thread where everyone shares tips and tricks they use when writing essays and papers. Obviously not every strategy will work for every student, but it's interesting to see what other people do.

I like to split up big essays into smaller parts. One day, I'll focus on finding resources. The next day, I'll summarizing the resources. The next day, I'll make a short outline of what I want the essay to look like. And so on.

Sometimes I give myself a time limit too. If I'm writing a big essay, I'll tell myself "I'll finish two paragraphs by 3:15pm and then I'll watch 10 minutes of Family Guy", or something like that.

What about you guys?
