How exactly do you trade a course exactly? I just want to make sure so I don't drop a course I currently have and end up losing it..

Does it basically involve me and the other person going on SOLAR at a random time at night and each of us dropping / adding the courses in question ?

Thats the way I understand it. Its very unlikely somebody else will take it in that short of a time period..
