You see, this would definitely work:

"Does anyone wanna go halvsies with me on a new start-up business? We just need a little capital to start buying and selling McMaster elective courses. Sure, you frown upon me now, but there's some real potential here...

Update: So I'm thinking we hunt down some students who aren't planing on taking a full year and use them as course reserves, for a small part of the profit. Then we could cut Chad in for say... 15% ?... to get a dedicated tab on macinsiders, I'll set up the paypal account and manage the transactions; this could be quite profitable, plus we only have to operate a couple months a year.."

LOL you put way too much thought into this =(

I haven't hit *WILLING TO PAY FOR COURSES* desperation yet..

it just seems like EVERY course for second semester is full, which clearly sucks.

It's really not that bad once you think about though... you pay $ 500 for a course, and around $ 100 for a textbook- that's $ 600 right there, so what's another $ 30-40 (based, of course, on how competitive the elective is) to ensure you'll get in. And what student who is taking a part-year wouldn't want to make an instant $ 10 per course per couple days holding onto the elective? That's a $ 20-30 profit on each transaction...
