Psych 2E03 vs Psych 2N03 Opinions thoughts etc
Sensory Processes vs Neuropsychology

I currently managed to slip into sensory processes first semester for the upcoming year. I'm entering Life sciences second year, which is better to score well in?

I've heard loads about sensory processes being interesting, but the course outline looks boring and convuluted. Neuropsych I've heard being boring and hard, but the course outline looks much easier and more interesting.

The timing for Sensory process also fits my schedule better.. one evening course on thursday night rather than three 12:30 classes.

Any opinions? Same prof (Ullal) for both courses.

EDIT errrrr i just realized 2N03 is antireq'd with Life Sci 2C03. that's the end of that discussion LOL. kindly delete if nobody else needs this.

I took sensory processes with Ullal and Neuroscience with Goldreich. Sensory processes is a very good course and is not that difficult if you study properly. Neuroscience is harder, but the material is a lot more interesting. You will find that the material from both courses overlap and it becomes easy. I dont know about Psych 2N03, but Psych 2F03 had quite a bit of physics/chemistry intertwined with the neurscience aspect, wheras 2E03 dealt with a little more psychology and theories.

I've heard the tests and exam for Psych 2E03 are very hard and unfair. Is it kind of impossible to get a 12 in this course? Any advice on how to do well in this course?

The tests will be VERY hard if you don't follow along with the lectures. Ullal is a very good prof, but he will put very specific quesitons on tests and exams. You must follow what he says along with the lecture notes and perhaps read the text for information you dont clearly understand. I was very unprepared for the first midterm and did poorly, but I changed this for the second and third tests along with the exam and got a double digit grade. Study hard and do well.
