Yeah but that's the point...we're already paying $500 per course...we shouldn't HAVE to pay 40 dollars to take a course we want, it is NOT like this at other universities. I love how the thing that stops you from taking good courses is your ability to get through a crappy server...period. It's not grades or programs.

Second idea... myself and a partner (with some HTML skill) make a web page that will link with McMaster's master timetable, where student's can automatically customize their ideal timetables without having to waste time drawing something up in Excel. The web page will also have a feature where you can view "pre-requisite trees" for courses, which will offer an extremely convenient way of looking at lvl III and IV courses, and being able to plan out your university program schedule. We charge a $ 5 per year membership fee for the site, or we make the site free as a form of advertisement for our buy and sell elective enterprise, OR we do both...
