Transcript marks
I'm in second year life science and up to now I've taken degree fulfilling courses that don't interest me. Probably because I don't have a clue what I want to do with my life. I've gotten some really poor marks, couple in the 50s. These marks really pull down my gpa and will most likely hinder my chances for professional schools and other career placement programs I've looked into.

Is there any way to have these marks removed.. I feel like I'm doomed and am now working toward a useless degree with no prospects due to a poor gpa <---my gpa

You cannot get anything removed from your transcript as far as I know..regardless of the reason unless it's a very extremely special circumstance..then maybe.

As far as I know, the only way to have marks removed from your transcript would be to fail to maintain the minimum cumulative average of 3.5. In this case, you would not be allowed to continue at Mac, and you would have to re-apply. It's only then that if you get in, you start with a clean slate.
Other than that, I'm not sure if there's any way to have marks removed. But when in doubt, go speak with an academic advisor. Hope this helps!

Hi Op, mabye you can take some time off and really think about what you want to do. Come back fresh and do a 5th and mabye even a 6th year. By that time your 50s will not affect your average much anymore.

If you could get low marks removed from your transcript, then there would be no point in giving marks at all.

Mistakes have consequences that can't always be erased. Tough lesson on growing up. That doesn't mean you can't work around them or take an alternate path to where you want to be...but there isn't an eraser for life.

... Defining the problem with our education system: Choosing to do something in University when you really didn't know what you wanted to do.

As others have said: Take time off and figure out what you want to do. Hint: It doesn't have to start with University.
