How to transfer money
So when I was trying to pay my account instead of lowering the amount on my payment agreement I now have -5000 dollars beside my student account. Does anyone know how to transfer money from the student account to the payment agreement? There really should be some online help with this.

Negative numbers means you put in money
Positive numbers means you have to pay them

It's the same format as a credit card statement.

dont think thats what they meant... i had this issue last year... the payment agreement balance isnt put onto your account until after a certain date... so if u try to pay mac the money shows up as a credit until the agreement account is applied.. then it gets subtracted

Hmm, weird. They PA balance should appear in your student account soon after you confirm the PA... Oh well, as mentioned before it'll be done automatically. If you've already paid what it says on your PA then you're good.

Yeah I called and apparently I put the money in the wrong account, so if anyone else did this McMaster will transfer the money for you (I put it in the student account).

Ok, that's what I thought.

Just a note to anyone else, there are 2 boxes when you pay online through MUGSI, the your student account and the payment agreement balance (the former usually has a balance of 0 while the latter has the balance stated on your payment agreement). Just make sure to input the numbers in the second box.

If you are paying through online banking then you don't have to choose which part to put it in, just use your student number as your account number and the money will go towards your payment agreement balance.
