I recently posted this in the wrong forum then I realized there's a res forum, silly me.

Does anyone know exactly how residence works for transfer students. I heard there are only 10 spots and the 10 are chosen by lottery system, so does that mean the chances of getting into residence are pretty low? Or are there usually a lot of spots left over after all the first year's coming straight from high school have accepted or declined their residence?

Also, in case I don't get into res:
Is the bus system in Hamilton good? How often do they run?
How disconnected from campus life are off-campus students?
