Travelling in Ontario
I have family coming over and was wondering what are some places that I can take them. I mean I am obviously going to take them to Niagara falls, CN tower (toronto downtown) and Quebec/Montreal. Are there any other places that I can take them in Ontario which is not too far away from toronto.
Thanks

Would they be interested in adventure-type activities, or more just sight-seeing? How long of a drive is "not too far"?

Yea. Not enough detail given. Time of arrival/departure. Access to transportation. Preferred type of sights/sounds/activity.

Defo need more details if you're looking to get suggestions but if you're in for outdoor-sy activities I would suggest going to Bruce Peninsular Park its about 4 hour drive from here

Webster's Falls...if you're into nature...
Though Niagara Falls trumps Webster's any day.

They would be interested in both adventure-type activities as well as sight-seeing. Approx. 3 hrs drive is okay. And we are all adults, no kids.

Lake Erie has several great beaches: Port Dover is popular in the summer. Long Point is great.
Lake Ontario's beaches... There might be some gems, but they're in a whole lot of rough.
Georgian Bay has Wasaga Beach and stuff (these are all pretty touristy).
The untouched part of Ontario adventure (besides the far North) is Manitoulin Island. Not a whole lot of people make the trip, since there's only 2 entrances, and one involves a ferry (from the south). The other is 6 hours around from Toronto, through Sudbury direction. Manitoulin is much closer to TRUE Ontario than even the Muskoka's because there isn't any big city on the island. Just a lot of beach spots that are untouched.

You try tourism Ontario?

Since you are going to Montreal then i agree with rpg51: Go to downtown Ottawa. Parliament buildings, more museums than any other country etc.
Another place to absolutely visit with a more adult group is wine country. Its not very far from Hamilton area depending on what winery you go to but especially in late spring/summer I know several people who have enjoyed it. You wouldnt think it but Ontario wine is gaining very high praise internationally now (same latitude and approx climate conditions as southern France).
Finally as others have said just Downtown toronto alone is pretty good. Its a large city with a lot of culture and large buildings. Theres almost always something to do there. Be prepared to be disappointed by the CN tower though.
