TRICK OR TREAT for SICK KIDS
TRICK OR TREAT for SICK KIDS

Did you think that your trick-or-treating days were over when you came to university? Think again! Since the children at Mac Sick Kids can't trick-or-treat for themselves, students from McMaster are invited to dress up and go out on their behalf.

Simply show up in the Student Centre on Halloween Night and we will assign you an area to trick-or-treat in! Costumes are mandatory!

Organizing Group: Smiling Over Sickness
Location: McMaster University Student Centre
Cost: Free

Run by: SOS

Trick-or-Treating for Sick Kids
Hey SOS members!

Halloween is just around the corner, and there’s no better way to celebrate than to get dressed up in costumes and go Trick-or-Treating! This year, Smiling Over Sickness will be collaborating with UNICEF and BreadBin to send volunteers into the Hamilton community to collect donations. We will be collecting candy to give to children in the hospital and at Ronald McDonald House, while UNICEF will collect monetary donations and BreadBin will collect canned goods.

Please join us on October 31st, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Student Centre Atrium. Once you arrive, we will provide you with a Trick-or-Treating bag as well as a map for you to plan your route. Additionally, we will provide Letters of Support from the Foundation Office of the hospital as well as “Mac Kids” stickers to indicate that you are collecting candy on behalf of Smiling Over Sickness. After the candy has been collected, you can drop it off at our table in the Atrium. We will sort through the different types of candy and make arrangements for donating it to the children at McMaster Hospital and at the Ronald McDonald House.

Hope to see you all there!
