Try our new MacInsiders menu bar

We're beta testing a new menu navigation that we plan to roll out in September. Try it out and let us know your feedback in this thread. Note that some elements may not work, and if you find a broken link or bug please let us know so we can perfect this new feature!

To beta test the new nav bar, click here.

As for aesthetics, definitely a lot cleaner, and it removes a lot of the clutter from the header (I was just gonna post that the links from the original header at the top are misaligned: http://cl.ly/Iorb). Design-wise, the only thing that looks slightly off is the differing fonts: http://cl.ly/Ioou.

It feels more responsive (on-hover is definitely better).

I am usually not a fan on "updates" when it comes to sites I vist on a daily basis, but the new look does seem a lot cleaner and easier for the eyes. I like!

i like it better this way

found a glitch though

if you go to the "forum" button and then click "dating forum," it takes you to the Moulton Hall forums instead, might want to fix that

slash since when did we have a dating forum?

I literally only use the tabs on the front page (recent, 1st year, etc) and almost never use anything else on this site.

I don't think I'll ever use anything related to 'forums' no matter what its form (new Forums dropdown from the beta, for example), so I would suggest expanding the use of the 'forum tabs', because I don't care to go to new pages (for each subforum) in order to find a topic that interests me.

I think the forum "expanding" is already maxed out

The amount of forum tabs is maxed out. We have the main forums in there, for the more detailed sub-forums you can use the new forum nav.

I'm not sure if I'm just blind, but I believe the logout button is missing.

EDIT: It's not missing, but on the main page it's covered by the countdown banner. You might want to change the z-positioning of those divs.
