UH/HH at night
Anyone know if either University Hall or Hamilton Hall will be open all night? I'm trying to find a good place to camp out to do some studying tonight.
Thanks!

I worked their until 1 AM. They lock the front door so you'll likely have to go out through the back.

Not encouraging this behavior, but:
Stickers on a door lock prevent it from locking after hours.
Most doors at Mac are locked by a main switch that controls the clasp in the door frame, not in the door itself. Those push-bars at the back have a triangular latch that can be held in place with a piece of tape or something similar, which prevents them from locking properly.
The magnetic doors like the ones that keep JHE annex locked can be pulled open using brute force and speed.
For further info, locker padlocks can be sprung with a shiv made from a pop can inserted between the hole and the bolt. One-way doors can be opened by pulling the door towards you, keeping the bolt pinned, then using a pocketknife to slide the bolt out of the frame.
Disclaimer: I haven't tried, but I've heard stories. As far as you know.

Is there a way to get into HH on a Saturday? Their bathrooms are ridiculously clean.

On a side note, does anyone know any ghost stories related to UH basement?

well... I accidentally got locked out of HH, left and got back at 9:50, guess the doors lock right around then. wandered around, and I think I've found the next best thing.
Chester New 104. A big lecture hall all to myself is just awesome!

You can get into UH through that walkway from Gilmour Hall.

Remember, if it wasn't for grad students like me who graciously crossed the line and worked for free, CUPE would probably still be on strike. Not to mention, if it wasn't for grad students like me offering countless unpaid office hours for panicking students...dot dot dot...it's like a pawn making fun of a bishop. :p
(lol at the clips by the way)
EDIT: And for the non-chess players, the joke is that a pawn and a bishop look largely the same in a Staunton (standard) chess set:
