Undergraduate Satisfaction Survey Results

Undergraduate Satisfaction Survey Results

The Globe And Mail does an annual satisfaction survey on all major universities, and McMaster seems to have done well for itself, with an A- satisfaction rating from students on overall quality of education, while the average is B+.

Check out the full results online here, or in a sorted chart PDF here.

One of the statistics that stood out was ease of course registration. McMaster came in the bottom out of 16 schools and was one of only two schools that received a C+ grade, all others were B- to A-. It seems SOLAR is in need of some serious work in order to bring up that rating, and it comes at no surprise seeing the many dissatisfied forum threads.

Are you surprised, agree/disagree with or don't care about the results? Post your reply.

Thanks to MI user brendanp for the tip.

I'm surprised how McMaster did in Food Services. I could be wrong, but I think this survey last year said Mac got a D in food services (because it's so expensive)

York students are very unhappy, haha

Of course students aren't satisfied with course registration at McMaster. I feel like killing something with my bare hands whenever I go through that process. I think C+ is being nice. >.>

But the quality of education is pretty great, can't deny that. ... Depends on the professor though.

I have heard Mcmasters food services use biodegradable containers (despite the jacked up prices), so they're not all bad

SOLAR SUCKS!!!!

I dont think anyone at mcmaster thinks otherwise, especially when they're up at 1am clicking over and over just trying to get into the classes they want

Just checked out the chart, not all that surprising. We did well in most categories but food services and ease of course registration were easily the worst. Sounds about right. I like most of the food services offered on campus and I think there's a wide variety but it is definitely expensive. You can't get anything even remotely healthy for cheap which I see as a big problem.

Everyone knows about SOLAR and quite frankly a C+ in that category is being generous. McMaster deserves an F in that category.

Otherwise I'm pretty happy with Mac.

What is this minimum entry grade, and why do we have the highest one out of any other school?
