If I wanted random companies emailing me, I would sign up on their websites.
Mosaic can post jobs on OSCAR like everybody else. They also talk infront of lectures and have handouts in classrooms. Career Services does send out emails when there are REALLY good job opportunities, like internships with the province or something. But not for regular summer jobs. If they sent out emails for every summer job, our inboxes would be flooded. That's what OSCAR is for.

And the fact that the person emailed tons of students directly from their own email, means they were given the addresses by somebody at Mac. They shouldn't be giving out our emails to whoever pays for them.

I was also outraged that Mac would give my email address to a sexual predator like Mosaic.

And when exactly did everyone start paying Mac for this address? They gave you the privilige to own a mcmaster email address and they can do whatever they want with it.

Before anyone says that tuition pays for this, imagine how much more tuition you would pay if they didn't solicit your email address.

I thought our MUSS address was included in our tuition?
I doubt they make enough from giving out our email addresses to pay for anything, especially since Mosiac is the first non-McMaster email I've received.

From what it sounds like, Mosaic didn't sent this e-mail but someone from career services. Can someone screen cap the e-mail? I never got it

Yup thats from career services, its just on behalf of Mosaic

If you type the email into the staff directory you will get the name and department of the person
