URGENT! Need Volunteer Math Tutor for Client w/ABI
Sight-impaired client with acquired brain injury needs a math tutor/support volunteer to help him obtain math credits towards his high school diploma. (The client is not fluent in Braille and is using a conventional curriculum.)

This position was filled (1:00 -2:00 pm here at the main office, 255 King William Street, Hamilton, ON) but the appointed volunteer bailed yesterday!!

We need a volunteer who is reliable, and empathetic to the fact that:

a) This is a very important activity to the client and
b) The client is on a VERY limited income. He must book transportation on DARTS. (If there is a last-minute cancellation he does not get his money back.)

If anyone can help please get in touch with me directly ASAP! No need to go through the regular application process. (I have a very disappointed client and want to get this position FILLED!)

Hilton, the more you give, the more you get. Making a difference in the world (even if it's just a small thing for one person) is of more value than money.

My math marks were terrible in high school, so I would be useless, but if he ever needs an English tutor, I'd be happy to help.
Good luck!
I really hope you find somebody soon.

I'm available to help next week after 5 pm (I work the mornings). What kind of math are we talking about here? (ie: grade 9 or grade 12 calculus, stats.. )

airvcarmelo, sarahsullz all say thanks to escape for this post.

Tell that to my landlord who needs his rent, McMaster and their 6600 dollar tuition, Bell who provides my internet and phone, and Fortinos where I get my groceries.
People need money more than anything - even him. The fact that he isn't paying any is testament to this. He needs it more than he can give away. I need it badly, too.
