Valentine's day gift ideas
VDay is coming up so I've been shopping around looking for gifts. I'm thinking about getting her a detachable shower head but I'm not sure if she'll know how to use it.
Anyway, I'm curious as to what others are getting so I can steal your ideas. Discuss!

Inb4 some foreveralone***s spout some bullshit about consumerism and trading it for blowjobs

Sometimes sticking with simple gifts is better than going big. Why don't you get her a cute teddy bear and some chocolate? Something like this:

...the teddy bear may pass for a cute gift in high school...
..welcome to serious relationships. get her something good or nothing at all.

and about the shower head as a valentine's day gift... you're kidding right?
you will legitimately get slapped.

Think jewelry, her birthstone (if it's an affordable one), plan a romantic night at a hotel in Niagara Falls (I would personally LOVE that) ... think along those lines.. not... household items...

I'm not saying to just get her a card, but put some effort into making her a nice card, and write what you feel in a heartfelt way.

Jewelry? What if your bf can't afford such a gift. As a student i don't have that kindda money to get her jewelry. I can't even afford jewelry for my mom, let alone gf..
Chocolate, flowers, etc. would be within my budget if i had a gf.

I agree with Jim, it doesn't need to be elaborate if there is thought behind it. Nice bear btw!

Electrical and computer engineer? Detachable shower head? Cute teddy bears?
Come, we can do better than that.
I'm sure she'd like a robotic dog who can leap, bark, fetch, and make coffee while taking care of its own personal hygiene.
Not at the same time.
Of course, since time is of the essence, we can always program her computer to do something amazing.

agree with Jim and Simon
i'm a girl and i would never expect him to buy me anything like jewelry since most university guys are already in debt b/c of school loans. Price doesn't dictate the importance of the gift or the value of the relationship.

Needs multiple outputs and speeds on that showerhead.

On the side, just do something thoughtful. Buying something is just... not thoughtful
