Volunteer with McMaster Ambassadors!
The McMaster Ambassador Program runs from September to April. It is a group of volunteers based out of the Student Success Centre and helps to organize and implement all of the events that run out of the Centre, such as Career Fair, Continuing Education Fair, Volunteer Fair, and more. They help with all the logistics such as set up, take down, registration, parking, etc.

It is an opportunity for ALL Mac students (years 1-5, grad students, etc.) to get involved as a representative of the university. It is a great way to meet tons of new people including McMaster students, staff and guests as well as build transferrable skills such as communication, time management and team work. It is a great way to build your academic or employment portfolio and obtain a reference letter if you are dedicated and hard-working.

This year, there are some new elements to the Mac Ambassador Program. We are partnering with many organizations in Hamilton to give the Mac Ambassadors an opportunity to do some community outreach initiatives - there will be events from organizations like the SPCA, YMCA, Children's Aid (and way more), throughout the year that you will have the opportunity to volunteer at as a Mac Ambassador. We will also be offering exclusive workshops to Mac Ambassadors in topics such as leadership, time management, social media and MORE!

There is opportunity for growth within the program as well - there are group coordinator roles (more responsibility and management of others) that you will be eligible to apply for after at least 6 months as a Mac Ambassador.

If this is something you are interested in, you can visit the website by going to the McMaster Student Success Centre website, click on "Experience" in the maroon bar at the top and then "Volunteer" from the drop down. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Mac Ambassador tab. The application and further instructions are listed there.
