approximately how many hours a week are volunteers required?

There are a variety of ways to volunteer with BBBS.

BECOME A MENTOR
1. Traditional Match( Big-Little Match) is 2-3 hours, twice a month

2. In-school mentoring: one child, one hour each week, you visit a child at their school ( after-school)

3.GO GIRLS: group of young girls. The Go Girls! program consists of 7 mentoring sessions, held
over a 7-10 week period, after school within school facilities. Each 1.5-2 hour-long session.

4. GAME ON!: group of young boys. The Game ON! program consists of 7 mentoring sessions, 75-minutes.

BECOME A SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBER
If you cannot commit to a child at this time, but would still like to volunteer with the organization, become a subcommittee member. The subcommittee members will be working with VP Events. It's your decision how many events and which events you volunteer with, so there is a ton of choice and flexibility.

You're better off e-mailing that question to them.

I actually think having the time commitments on MacInsiders helped a lot of students. We have received a number of e-mails from students interested in becoming a mentor and/or a subcommittee member. So thanks for the question!
