I didn't even know there were wait list forms... Blahhhhhh.
*squids of anger*
Is it that tough to implement wait lists?

I think that they would have to restructure MUGSI which is why they haven't implemented waitlists yet. Don't think it'll happen any time soon either. But some departments have their own waitlists so it's all good.

So I emailed the math department about getting into MATH 1LS3 and they basically told me to keep checking SOLAR. I think I am out of luck unless someone drops the course. :(
Does anyone know if it is easier to get into courses when SOLAR reopens? Or is it basically the same as it is right now?

If you're going to one of those SOLAR workshop things, they can probably do it for you there. If not, you can try emailing the science academic advisors ( [email protected]) or try calling them, but you probably won't have as much luck--they'll probably tell you to keep checking SOLAR. You can also try emailing someone from the Kin dept.
The reason it was full right at midnight is probably because a lot of upper years took it as an elective, and they got to register before you.

I was wondering where the schedule for the SOLAR workshops was. Are there are any more? XD

I have no idea, since I'm not going into first year I wouldn't be involved in that at all. I think I received an email about it before registration, though, and there might be info somewhere on the Mac website or the Science website--it was organized by the faculty. They only did it for a few days, though, right after SOLAR opened, and you had to sign up ahead of time. It's probably too late by now, but I'm not 100% sure.

Unfortunately, there isn't a wait list and they usually only hold reserve seats for students in upper years that need it as a prerequisite for med schools. .

1Y03/1YY3 aren't prerequisites for med schools though - unless there's something going on in the states.

It's probably for physiotherapy and occupational therapy schools. In provinces outside of Ontario, anatomy/physiology are often prereqs for these programs. I think that may apply to American programs too.

They're also prerequisites for the accelerated nursing program, but they can be taken online via Athabasca, so it's not absolutely necessary to get a seat in kin 1Y03/1YY3 at McMaster.

It should be easier, all the remaining seats get opened and people are always switching around.
