Yeah for second floor. I'm in room 206 by the way. Feel free to stop by anytime to say hi!!

CA stands for community adviser. We are upper year students who live in residence and help first year students who live in residence. We plan programs, help with conflicts, and many other things. There are also IRC (inter-residence council) who live in the building as well. They are involved more with the events that go with all of the residences. You will be hearing a lot about the CA's and IRC members when you move in.

Hi,
I was wondering if the Wallingford residence includes a bookcase in the double rooms or do I have to bring my own?

Yep there are bookcases. You might end with a medium sized upright one or one that's attached to your wall. They're pretty big so you'll have enough room to store your textbooks. Don't bring many books with you, believe me you will not have time to read them!

You must mean 109B, and that's on the first floor

Hey Callen - What was the room number on the Welcome Day tour again? Checked my number again and I'm 218, so it'd be wicked cool if that was my room. Though I'm thinking it was 208.........

BTW, what's the rule as far as posters and stuff go? I'm assuming tape/sticky-tack only? I don't remember seeing holes in the walls, but then again, I didn't really look. I was all mesmerized by the beautiful wood doors and banisters and EVERYTHING. So pretty....

Oh, and I wasn't in the Facebook group after all. But that horrible discovery has been remedied! =)

Dimoxyel, you went to welcome day right? did you take any pics of a double?

And yes, you can't nail, paint or drill any walls...just sticky tack

Last year, we were given "magic poster mounts" (the little white foamy squares) when we picked up our keys on move in day. That was in North Quad, and last year...but I'd say there's probably a good chance you get them again.

Hey Zarah! Nah, I brought my camera, but I didn't think to take pictures while I was in Wally. I was too busy fawning over it. The rooms are a little smaller than they appear to be in the picture, but its livable.

Yay magic squares! I think my main posters are heavier than that, but I'll just bring different ones =) Thanks for the info Sar!

It depends on the room mainly. Most of them do have a captain's bed (with 6 drawers in two layers, or with 3 drawers in one layer) and a few are just a regular one. The closets are really big through.
