My high school grad is the Thursday before and I'm just wondering if I will be able to go. I'd honestly rather have class but i already paid so any information would be helpful. Thank you.

I didn't go to class that day to go to my graduation, and it's worth it. Well... I don't know, I was receiving awards and stuff, if it's just your diploma then you don't really have to go. I think they'll mail it to you/your parents.

Me too. But I think you should go. I know it sounds corny, but it IS a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And its probably the last time you'll see your entire high school class togther. I say go.

I'd say go to your grad. Why is it so late? Mine was the beginning of summer.

Do a lot of people usually miss classes on the friday before thanskgiving?
I know some people from res wanted to go home early for the long weekend, is this generally a good idea?

I didn't go... don't regret it at all.
Too insignificant to even think twice about, imo.

As long as you don't have any required attendance classes or tests/assignments due, skipping a day isn't a big deal. Hell, some people skip every class and still manage to pass, one day isn't going to hurt. Your best bet is to find someone you know is staying and get their notes later on.

Complete waste of time. On the plus side, I managed to get a midterm written in the morning instead of a Friday night 2 years ago.

If you cared about high school and there's nothing marked on the day of, then go; else, don't bother. If you DO have something marked on that day, and you care about marks but still want to go, then get a letter from your principal saying your commencement is on that day and get a missed work form filled out/see if it can be deferred/whatever.

I say go to your graduation. It might be a waste of time, but you also might regret it if you don't go.
Lots of people skip class the Friday before Thanksgiving. You can probably even talk to your profs/TAs and let them know why you will be missing class - I think your graduation is a legitimate reason.
