I don't mean to trash the city I come from, especially given the tainted perspective that many mac students from out of town already have. i meant to point out that firstly it is so diverse. Every area is different and in terms of discomfort, I have personally found it to be related to the socio-economic status of the area. Secondly that the 'weird' people are often unlikely to cause you trouble. Some of them are too busy dancing down the sidewalkto bother you actually.
I definitely don't mean you shouldn't leave the Mac bubble. That's a mistake loads of students make. There is interesting stuff here that doesn't happen at Mac. It's hard when you have known people from certain areas of Hamilton who bad things have happened to.
