I tried to find out which bands are playing where for orientation week at various universitites in Canada and it's ****ing impossible.

I was hoping for something like a list of all the Universities with the headlining bands next to them.

I think the Arkells might be playing, I saw somewhere on the mac facebook page about some guy following mcmaster alumni the arkells around, but I didnt read the page.

That's for their U.S. tour they're on at the moment.

Would be good to have them. Maybe we would hear some of their new songs

The guy who is following them around is a Mac alum who works for the Spec: I assume he knows the guys, since both he and the Arkells all graduated in 2008. The Arkells won the Mac Battle of the Bands in 2007, and then the national ones afterwards. You can read the Daily News story here.

And I'm not a crazy stalker: the guys lived in res the same year I did, and Max was a WW Rep for Brandon for two years when I was also a res rep...

There is a general concert that is open to all Mac students on the Wednesday night. The saturday concert in the past was only open for people with a MacPass, but I believe last year anyone was able to attend provided you paid an entry fee.

haha.... I can garauntee that Moxy Fruvous will not be making a comeback this year, seeing how my uncle is a former bandmate of that group.
