What's a "drop-in tutorial"?
It says that there is a drop-in tutorial for chemistry but it doesn't show on the timetable.
Is this like a normal tutorial? Do I have to attend this one?

A drop in tutorial is where it's not manditory to come but you might find it useful if you're struggling or you just want to have a bit more information. It doesn't show on your timetable because you don't HAVE to go.

In first year chem they recommend that you go to tutorial during the time of your lab, but on the week you don't have it. However, if you do this you only get to go to half the drop in tutorials

I think the drop in tutorials are organized so that they occur every week, but every two weeks is the same tutorial. That way you won't miss half the tutorials.

e.g. Wk 1: group 1 = lab A, group 2 = tutorial A
Wk 2: group 1 = tutorial A, group 2 = lab A.
Wk 3: group 1 = lab B, group 2 = tutorial B, etc.

When do we find out the times for drop-in chem tutorials? Will our profs let us know?
Also, kind of unrelated, but when do we find out who our profs are?

It should be on your syllabus which your prof will hand out the first day

The profs name should be listed on the master time table with the class times, etc. If its not then you'll find out the first day!

Technically you could go to every tutorial to ask questions right?

You could do that...just a side note: you will also be able to ask at the special Chem room in Thode Library (you'll receive more info in class about this probably).

Also, I think there were also optional tutorial assignments that you take up in your tutorials. At some point people stopped going to tutorial because the answers were already posted on WebCT, but I don't know if they've changed it to not posting so that more people would attend. That's what happened in second year Orgo Chem at least.

Also, does this mean that it happens both times each day?

Well it says Monday through Friday. So, I'm guessing it's every day, which is cool. =D

Kinda random, but I just looked at your profile pic and like did you go to Streetsville? Because you look familiar.
