So I found this guy on kajiji selling a used Asus 768 MB 8800 GTX for $80.

i mean 8800gtx is an older generation..(

and it uses more electricity.

Hmm, ya that's what I was thinking. The 8800 GTX was epic for its time though :p.

If its a gaming PC, maybe he should sacrifice a little $ on another component and buy a high-end $150-200 gfx card

Hes on a budget, and a 4850 would be fine to handle today's games even at without anti aliasing. Dillon, tell your friend to get the 4850 1gb vapor-x. The extra ram does help more at the higher resolutions and the vapor-x version has a more quiet and efficient fan.
