White water from water fountains

White water from water fountains
Hey guys
So, I just noticed this today but sometimes from a few water fountains around campus you get this water which isnt clear. its got this white murky look to it. Why is this?

Its likely chlorine used to kill bacteria. Safe to drink.

I creep but never post....but i had this happen recently. Shake that bottle really hard and they will go away instantly.

I'd hesitate to drink it if I were you.
In other related news, half the fountains in the psych building have tested for high levels of lead.
Makes me wonder if all the fountains around campus are regularly being tested, or if these were only checked out because the building is under construction.

during the summer water fountains in IWC and ABB ( either abb or another building cant remember) were under construction due to high lead.

MUSC and tsh/kth had lead warnings a year or so ago too (pre-modern fountains with green filter light)

lol, thanks for the advice guys
Also note, I noticed this only happens in the old style fountains. The new electronic ones where you can fill up your bottles are totally fine....

I've noticed this sometimes if i try to use a fountain in the morning. Seems as though by the afternoon it has already filtered out or whatever :/

use the new water fountains the old ones have a lot of years worth of calcium build up and apparently lead
|
