OOO! I almost forgot! The Conservatives ended Parliament by sneaking in a little bit of legislature MP's who were not re-elected got an increased (read: RIDICULOUS) severance package, and all new ones get a raise !!! YAY! You know what? They all deserve more of our money. Good for them. And how about that 19 year old NDP MP? His alternative summer job was going to be a golf-course attendant. Now? He's got a 4-5 year job worth >$150,000/year, and damn near no real credentials (other than watching the Parliamentary TV channel and chairing a student version of the NDP at his school)

Just winners is what we are. Just. Winners.

Are you implying that conservatives are... bad?

I wish parliament discussions were interesting.. I might actually watch these highly paid geniuses battle it out.

I'm a social democrat but I voted for the Liberals because I am living in Oakville. Unfortunately, due to vote splitting in my riding, the Conservatives came out far ahead. I wish more Canadians would have voted strategically.

The only thing that bothers me about strategic voting is that it undermines personal beliefs. I mean, the Liberals and NDP are obviously different, but if I supported either party (I don't support any party in Canada), I would not want to vote for something else. I see it as almost "selling out" your beliefs.
