Wired Internet in Library
My laptop's wifi adapter is shot, are there any active Ethernet ports in the library of student center? I've tried a few but they all seem to be disconnected

I believe if you want a wired connection, you'd need to use a library computer. I'll check and see if MacConnect would work if you had an ethernet cord. You could also check with the IT students in Mills Learning Commons.

No, if you plug into any ethernet jack on campus (assuming it's not already occupied by a desktop), you should be able to get onto the MacConnect network.

Not all ports access MacConnect network. Only specified ports connect to that network, the remaining ports are MAC address restricted to registered desktop computers in the library and will not connect student computers.

Thanks - I'll try some in BSB - I have only tried the ones in Mills and the student center thus far
