The computer actually isn't connected to the internet. That's what I find most impressive about the whole thing, that someone could create a database that size and have a computer run through it in 3 seconds with an answer.

2nd video, at the end they did mentioned the specs for Watson.

Over 2000 cores. 15 TB of RAM.

When I built my first desktop, it had 256 mb of ram. all of my friends were impressed. Rofl.
