Anyone know of any writing contests (poetry, creative, fic, non-fic) open to undergrads at Mac? Or anyone in our age range?

Edit: As for something relevant to this thread, I do believe I saw some posters around campus for some sort of writing contest. I can't recall if it was when I was passing through ABB or JHE.

Titles also has that Made at Mac contest every year.. don't know if they shut it down for good though.

NaNoWriMo's different from what the OP is asking for in the sense that it's not a competition, but a challenge. Made by Mac had a written component, but I have no clue whether it will still be running, either.

Also, in my first year, I saw a poster for a creative writing competition, but I don't remember who was running it. I also believe I've seen creative writing challenges/competitions (?!) in ANDY, that pull-out in the Silhouette. Just keep an eye for it!

That's as far as I know about writing competitions within Mac.

I've yet to look for stuff within Hamilton/Canada, but there are many online contests as well that are open to international applicants. It also depends on what format you're looking for? There are contests for flash fics, and short stories, and even for novels (speaking of which, the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award is sometime in January. It's free and open for anyone).

If anything else comes to mind I'll post again, haha.
