My mark should round to the next highest grade level, or so I think.

Can anyone tell me if Mac rounds down or up? E.g., 74.6% would be an 8 or a 9?
considering an 8 is anywhere from 73 to 76, how could 74.6 ever possibly be construed as a 9?

Yeah, Souldier, I didn't mean those marks exactly, I didn't know what the 7-9 range corresponds to in percentages. In that case, I mean would a 75.6, or a 75.9, be an 8 or a 9?

Do you know if they just forgot to add in your exam mark into the final mark calculation?

Last term I ended up having a 1 instead of a 10 because the TAs skipped my scantron in the scanning process.

You should email your professor and talk to an academic advisor in that faculty. Usually they will be able to redirect you to the person who is in charge of the course (if your professor is away). It is a tedious process to get fixed but well worth it in the end.

I would email the prof, and if you haven't heard from them in a week, email the faculty and see what they suggest.

Once my grade report showed that I failed a course, even though it was impossible considering I was certain I had done amazing on the final exam. I emailed the prof to figure out what the problem was, and it turns out he had just not added in my exam grade. So I would just email them and see what happens.

I think it's up to the teacher when they submit your grade.

Well that's lovely. But yeah, the professor will be back around the end of June I believe, you can email her just to let her know you plan to meet with her if you want to go that route. Otherwise you can contact the faculty or something else.

Depends. If it's a 2 in a single class. then no. Only a 0 is a fail. If that is your cumulative average... bravo. (you get kicked out of uni below a 3 cumulative average)

I have seen many a 2.

For some courses, the prerequisite requires a certain average in a specific course. All details about prerequisites are in the course calendar: registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALENDAR/current/pg4.html

Last term (Fall 09) my Anthro TA gave everyone their final grades at the end of the term before the final exam. Mine was an A- . Then I only ended up with a B in the course, even though I thought I did well on the final. Do you think they have calculated it wrong or is possible that I did so bad on the final that my grade dropped that much? Should I email someone about this or is it too late?

I've heard of people successfully getting grades changed in courses they had over a semester ago, so there is no sense in not trying :p.

Just try to be really polite when you email the TA of Prof about it.
