I'm the same way with my tastes. The artists I consider my all-time favorites bore me because I've listened to them so much and they rarely put out new music anyways.
In the last year or so my favorites are: Radiohead, Bloc Party, KiD CuDi, Childish Gambino, Coldplay, Hoodie Allen, Metric, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
My all-time favorites: Tupac, Nas, Eminem, Mos Def, Rakim, Common, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, DMX, The Game and the first few from the list above.
